Document of King Sigismund Augustus granting a house in Przemyśl to Spytek Jordan

[S]IGISMUND AUGUSTUS, by the grace of God, King of Poland, Grand Duke of Lithuania, Ruthenia, Prussia, Masovia, Samogitia, etc., Lord and Heir. We hereby announce to all whom it may concern: That we, wishing to show our favor to the illustrious Spytek Jordan of Zakliczyn, Voivode of Sandomierz, Starosta of Przemyśl and Kamieniec, for his services to us, have decided to give and grant, and by this letter do give and grant, to him and his lawful successors, a house in our city of Przemyśl, situated between the houses of Staś on one side and Paweł, citizens of Przemyśl, on the other, which is currently held by Chołowski, also a citizen of Przemyśl, and which has fallen to us and our treasury from any persons by right of escheat, as a perpetual and irrevocable donation. The aforementioned house is to be held, kept, possessed, rented, gifted, sold, exchanged, alienated, and used for the benefit of himself and his lawful successors, as he deems best and more useful, without further requirement of our consent or that of our illustrious successors, by the said illustrious Voivode of Sandomierz and his lawful successors. We announce this to all whom it may concern, namely the famous mayor and councilors of our city of Przemyśl, and we command them to ensure that this our grant is brought to its proper effect, as is required by law. Given in Vilnius, on the nearest Friday before the feast of Saint Catherine, in the year of our Lord one thousand five hundred and sixty, and in the thirty-first year of our reign.
