[P. 2]
In Lutsk, January 22, 1714
My Dear Mr. Jaśkiewicz!
As soon as I received your letter, in which you wrote about the change in His Majesty's customs, I immediately wrote to His Grace the Treasurer, obliging and requesting that he maintain you in your office in every respect. I also, being here in Lutsk and not having found your deputy, ordered and gave an ordinance to His Grace the Burggrave to maintain him in office even by force, not allowing any dispositions by Mr. Zahorowski until you receive a reliable resolution from His Grace the Treasurer. Regarding other matters, you will learn from the letter of His Grace Mr. Szyszkowski. And since I should know what [...] was given there on the card from you, while he is going to Lviv to the general provision, therefore I ask you: give the account to His Grace Deboli and His Grace Poniatowski,
[P. 3]
so that he may bring it to me here and so that I may know how much I have to refund. Requesting this, I remain
Your Grace's, My Gracious Lord's
well-wishing and
obliged
servant
A. Miączyński
Voivode of Volhynia
[P. 4, address:]
To His Grace Mr. Jan
Jaśkiewicz, superin-
tendent of the royal table
customs of the Ruthenian
province,
to be delivered.

Reading notes
Page 1 is an inventory card from 1979. Archival pagination of the document: p. 2 is f. 1, p. 4 is f. 2. On p. 2, there are minor deletions and scribal corrections in the text. The inventory states that Miączyński only 'promises intercession', whereas the content of the letter shows that he has already sent a letter to the Crown Treasurer requesting that Jaśkiewicz be maintained in his office.
