[P. 2]
Noble Lviv Magistrate,
My Most Gracious Lords and Brothers.
Always holding Your Graces, my noble Lords of the Magistrate, in high regard, I rejoice in the fortune that my urgent matter gives me the opportunity to address Your Worships in writing. As I express all expressions of respect to Your Graces with this letter, I appeal to the grace of Your Worships, asking Your Graces, my Lords, that you deign to permit Mr. Ziętkiewicz, your scribe, a short departure from Lviv for the Easter holidays on a certain and urgent matter of mine. For the prudent Mr. Ziętkiewicz, the scribe, excused himself due to the current duties of his office and, without the express consent of Your Graces, my Lords, would not take my affairs under his care nor declare his departure from Lviv. Once I obtain this grace of Your Graces, my Lords, without objection, then both the regard for Your Worships and the efforts of Mr. Ziętkiewicz in my affairs will oblige me to all gratitude and to serve Your Graces, my Lords – all Your Graces, my Lords, and each one individually, as I am.
Of Your Noble Graces, My Gracious Lords and Brothers,
a well-wishing and humble servant

Reading notes
Page 1 is an inventory card. Page 3 constitutes a former gathering/collective fascicle for letters to the magistrate from the years 1721–1757. The author's signature is partially illegible/blurred by an ink stain and paper loss; the letters 'R. C.' are provided according to the archival inventory. A mechanical loss (tear/burn) is visible in the text in the lower part of the page, also affecting p. 3.
