[P. 2]
Most Illustrious Lord and Benefactor!
Due to the mail from Your Grace being delayed, I had to keep the Cossack until now; now that it has been received, I am sending him off as quickly as possible.
I have already finished the matter of the honey with Mr. Majeranowski, for which I barely managed to bargain for 190 zlotys in cash. To top them up, only a few garnets remained from two half-barrels, and I added those without him. He had agreed with Mr. Sebastianowski that they should be filled in his presence, which would have caused great damage, because among them were two half-barrels that contained no honey at all, only beeswax. Now I wanted him to take two larger barrels instead of four half-barrels, but by no means

As soon as I have settled the matter with him, having handed over the honey and collected the money, I will hasten as quickly as possible to the service of Your Grace, my Benefactor. Now on[...]

Reading notes
The year 1698 was established based on the archival inventory; the date of the letter contains only the day and month (11 Februarii). The addressee is the Ruthenian Voivode (in 1698, Stanisław Jan Jabłonowski). The author's signature is a monogram of the first name (likely 'W') and the surname 'Rosnowski'. A wax seal is preserved on p. 4.
