Translation / modern text
A partly legible letter in a familiar tone, concerning a matter in which the writer appears to ask the recipient for help or advice. It mentions people and the official handling of a case, but the central substance cannot safely be reconstructed. The dateline probably names Kraków and January 1586; the day has not been established.

Reading notes
Page 1 is an inventory cover; its date was not used as the letter date. The letter occupies pp. 2–3. Page 4 is a folded address sheet with a seal. The dateline on p. 3 appears to include “Krakowie,” “Januarii,” and the year 1586, but the day is uncertain; the date field is therefore left empty. Names and details of the case remain unidentified.
