Translation / modern text
Most Honorable Voivode, my most gracious lord and benefactor.
The sender appeals to the addressee’s goodness, describes a matter concerning estates, and asks for help or a favorable decision. He also mentions other people, including the Lady General Wielgopolska. Since many sentences are faded or difficult to read, the course of the matter and the precise wording of the request cannot be safely reconstructed.
The letter was written in Radymno on 20 December 1698. The signature probably reads Jerzy Donhoff.

Reading notes
All nine images were examined. Image 1-0.jpg is the unit cover, annotated with the start date 2 December 1698, end date 20 December 1698, and six sheets. Images 2-0.jpg–8-0.jpg contain one letter with pages numbered 1–6; image 9-0.jpg shows the address on the sheet/wrapper and is not a separate letter. The date line reads “W Radymnie d. 20 Decembris 1698”. The final signature resembles “Jerzy Donhoff”, but the reading remains uncertain. The address is to the Most Honorable Voivode; the surname and full title could not be read with confidence. The manuscript has many abrasions, show-through marks, and illegible passages; missing content has not been reconstructed.
