[P. 2]
Most honorable, most esteemed, especially most venerable Mr. Forbes,
Regarding the conversation my son had concerning the transfer of 2500 florins, I thank you most kindly, wishing to be of service to you as much as possible. As for the debt, I have instructed my deputy to pay that capital from various incoming funds. Regarding the commission, I shall leave it to your decision whether it is right for me to pay 32 florins of interest annually per 100, although your excessive caution was more to blame for the delay in paying the capital than my negligence in paying them. I conclude herewith and request that when my deputy sends me the money from Wrocław, you transfer it by bill of exchange.
