Letter from Joachym Krauzowski to the Lviv City Councilors regarding a delay in debt repayment

[P. 2] Most Magnanimous, Gracious Lords, Councilors of Lviv! Although I should have, according to my promise, placed [the payment] into the hands of Your Graces, and that little debt of mine could not be repaid at the appointed time, I have therefore returned the contract to my close friends. For this reason, it seemed necessary to me to inform Your Graces of this and to request that I might appear before you at the upcoming deadline, for which I ask Your Graces once again. Therefore, you will always find in me a man willing and well-disposed to your every command. I humbly submit myself to the grace of Your Graces. Given in Mszana, on the 20th of August, 1636.
