Mr. Arthur Forbes, Tarnów, the year 1606, the 21st day of January
Sir and dear friend, greetings. I write in good health, wishing the same to you and all good friends there. I pray you to deliver the enclosed [letters] to those people and demand from Mr. Walter Innes my debt note for 1000 r[hine guilders?] in current coin. I paid him in double-ducats and [...] [?], and he took my note with him; I pray [?] you to send it back to me. And if he is not there, I pray you to inquire where he is staying and send his letter to whom you deem appropriate in order to retrieve it from him. And if by chance he says he has destroyed it, let him send me a receipt [?] that it has been paid off. I pray you to speak with Mr. Galbricht, as I requested regarding those fish, to send them at the first opportunity, or as soon as [...], for I believe you will not receive payment soon. Having nothing more to add, I wish you only good trade and commend you to divine care.
