[P. 36]
Magnanimous Sir,
Your Grace's letter dated October 26th reached me in Krasne, but I was already almost on my way to Lublin, where I am hurrying with witnesses for the 22nd of the current month for the scheduled investigation. From there, God willing, I shall not fail to write.
As for my son, who arrived in Vienna on October 19th, I expect him in Warsaw sometime at the beginning of December, for I have given him a fatherly order,
[P. 37]
to travel straight by post, with the prohibition that he should not stop anywhere, because his nymph lives almost on the way in Rymanów, as I wish to leave the whole matter to his inclination until the time of the presence, God willing, of Your Graces in Warsaw, whom I all honor with pious respect. May Your Grace, my Lord, be pleased to congratulate the honorable Field Quartermaster on the completion of his successfully concluded plans,
[P. 38]
so that he may learn to know the sweet name of father as soon as possible. Therefore, with due respect, I sign myself
Your Grace's, my Gracious Lord's, heartfelt loving brother and
humble servant,
Jan Krasiński of Krasne,
Voivode of Płock, by my own hand.
In Krasne, the 9th of November, 1701.
[P. 39]
[Address:]
To His Excellency
My Lord Voivode
General of Ruthenia
in Lviv.
