Translation / modern text
[P. 51]
Monseigneur.
Be pleased, Benefactor, with the sincerity of my goodwill, since I cannot guarantee the efficacy of my wishes. However, I burden the Heavens with prayers that God, having averted misfortunes, may grant you a long life, multiply your honors, and allow you to spend your days without clouds. Which I shall never cease to sincerely wish for Your Grace, My Lord, in the desires of my heart. In proof of which I am
Your Grace's, My Gracious Lord's
kindly well-wishing

humble servant
