[P. 53]
My Dear Sir.
I am sending to Lviv for the upcoming term of the Commission, with a provisional defense of all documents and protection for my leaseholds against the winter quarters (hiberna) due to the Polish army, which the Saxon soldier [...] turned into oppression and plundered. Being [...] interpretations nor forgers of royal ordinances (for which I am sending for the fourth time), I humbly request in this matter the support of Your Grace, my Dear Sir, so that the estates subject to such great burdens are not burdened any further. Let him who took it threefold or fourfold pay this winter quarter; after all, His Majesty the King promised to pay the Polish army. Sending to Your Grace, my Dear Sir, in the attachments what is new from Warsaw, I now remain
Your Grace, my Gracious Lord's heartily loving brother and humble servant
Jan Krasiński, Voivode of Płock [by his own hand]
