Translation / modern text
[P. 55]
[f. 37]
My dearest brother,
It is impossible not to be surprised that there is no news from His Grace and Your Grace, my Lord, at a time when it should be arriving every hour. My [husband] interprets this in various ways, and I do not know how to soothe it all, as the deputies were more often ordered to defend [the cause] at the dietine, and from it
[P. 56]
Her Grace the Aunt is here. Here, Her Grace Lady Wilińska, the aunt, is very resentful towards Your Grace, my Lord, claiming that you were supposed to have a promissory note first and write a letter to the tribunal regarding this matter, which I do not believe and [explained to her] without it, yet it concerns the honor of the house before her.
My dear brother, I ask for news whether His Grace will be at the convocation, for I shall even bypass Warsaw.
[P. 57]
[f. 38]
Upon arriving, we had news that Her Majesty the Queen was well received. What is one to hold onto, having no certain news, while here news flies to us time and again, from which one barely lives. My beloved brother, persuade His Grace, my Lord, to have frequent and confidential correspondence with Your Grace [my husband], for I assure you of his zeal.
[P. 58]
[...] I would go to the countryside, if only I could find His Grace in Lwów. I am already so longing that I do not know how I am living. Having, therefore, the hope of seeing you soon, embracing you from my heart, I remain Your Grace, my Lord's loving sister and humble servant,
Leszczyńska.
To Her Grace the sister-in-law, a million lowest bows.
My dear brother, I recommend the Prince [Wyszyński?], for he is immensely attached to [His Grace?], for which you yourselves kindly [order?] him to be given [what is needed] there for his needs.
[P. 59, address:]
[f. 39]
To His Excellency the Voivode of Volhynia in Lwów.

Reading notes
No date in the text of the letter. Information from the inventory ("July 6 / tuba") is not confirmed by the preserved text. The addressee ("palatin de Wolhynie") and the author ("Leszczynska", the addressee's sister) are Jan Stanisław Jabłonowski and Anna Katarzyna Leszczyńska née Jabłonowska. Mentions of the convocation, dietines, and the queen point to the interregnum period after John III Sobieski (1696–1697).
